congres

On November 6th and 7th, 21010, Salle des variétés, 1, Bd Albert 1er, MC 98000 MONACO

The International Encounters of Monaco were created more than 25 years ago. Their original topic has always been based on unconventional medicine in order to demonstrate its effectiveness and obtain its ratification.

Supplementary medicine concerns an increasing number of the world population. The International Encounters of Monaco have succeeded in creating an international area for freedom of thought and communication, unique in the world, devoted to this medicine and removed from any constraint or fashion’s effects. The active participation of all the congress members is welcome and every presentation is followed by questions. The final round table will enable everyone to express themselves.

Today, this medicine we are defending is still too often excluded from therapeutic means of action. But there is only one physiology. Medicine, which is before all “the art of healing” should be unified and open itself to various approaches with their methods of diagnosis and their specific therapies. All this in the patients’ interest!
Of course, this ratification which we are defending must rely on the most rigorous recent works in order to enable communication between the scientific and medical communities.

In this spirit, we are going to present this year scientific works to highlight the coherence of unconventional medicine and its connection between its different types and with conventional medicine.
This is why the International Encounters of Monaco have been able to convince world-famous physicians and scientists to take part in our congress, like for instance Professor Luc Montagnier, Nobel Prize of Medicine and Professor Henri Atlan, honorary member of the advisory council of medical ethics.

Clinically, we witness the development of the cooperation between therapists issued from various areas.
Homoeopaths are beginning to be accepted in the hospital environment to take part in the treatment of heavy pathologies.
Some of them will be present in Monaco.
It is surprising to see how the various research works concerning phythotherapy converge towards a better understanding of the action mechanisms of plants. Clinical observations in humans and animals confirm scientific experiments in fundamental research. Treating with plants is constantly progressing, both in our western approaches and in traditional Chinese medicine. A harmonious coherence is being developed.
Besides, it is advisable to better understand traditional Chinese medicine as a whole, to approve the thoroughness and the drive of present research on this subject. We are far removed from frozen ancestral medicine, chosen by hundreds of millions of people for its low cost ...
Here, and elsewhere, new connections appear, enabling to set up a new global, consistent and multidisciplinary medicine.
Osteopathy has been developing considerably in the past few years. This discipline must also deserve all our attention.

In experimental and clinical research, the modernity of experimental protocols, the taking into account of the placebo effect and the repeatability of results characterise a certain number of recently published works. These articles meet the most modern selection criteria. But these publications have not reached a degree of notoriety, however justified, in all the scientific and medical communities. This lack of interest or rejection without consultation prevents any objective communication and criticism.
The role of the Encounters is to contribute in making them known and accepted, by circulating objective, impartial and well-argued information.

But one should go further and analyse the reasons for the difficulties of communication and information we run into.
There is no controversy to be created or kept alive. One should understand one’s justified reservations, discuss and propose a communications strategy. This is the reason why the final round table is organised.
Today – more than ever before – communication is possible and above all necessary. To contribute to it is the challenge taken up by the International Encounters of Monaco.

Let us not forget that besides this rigorous approach we are going to introduce, pseudo science and parascience are anchoring themselves even more strongly than in the past, spreading confusion and facilitating the elaboration of false beliefs.

Unfortunately the public is not always wary enough and does not always possess useful information faced with more or less peremptory assertions, often appealing to a variable measure of credibility and resorting to the “surreal”. On the other hand, this circulates too well in the media, in conferences and books…
More than ever, all the health professionals, physicians, veterinary surgeons, pharmacists, nurses, physical therapists … need the legitimate information we are going to provide for them. Moreover, the active participation of all congress members will be a source of mutual enrichment.
The whole Encounters team will be happy to meet you in Monaco during the next congress.
